The company took the opportunity to officially unveil the latest version of the world’s most widely used relational database, which is now available on Linux, Docker, and Windows. SQL Server 2017 brings Microsoft’s industry-leading relational database engine to the enterprise Linux ecosystem. This includes SQL Server Agent authentication, Active Directory, class-leading disaster recovery/high availability, and unmatched data security features.
